Galaxies Image locate 70 million light-years far

The first image recorded by a high performance telescope Atacama desert, Chile on Saturday
shows a pair of galaxies located far 70 million light-years from Earth.

SANTIAGO, Chile – A high-powered telescope to record images of galaxies for the first time yesterday from the Atacama desert, Chile.

It is the world’s largest astronomical project involving Canada, Chile, the European Union, Japan, Taiwan and the United States.

The first image was recorded by 12 of the 66 radio telescopes installed in the desert.

The telescope captured the image shows a pair of galaxies in the constellation Corvus coil is located as far as 70 million light years from Earth. – AFP
